This song sings of the sacred in everyone as it invites a second look at the ancient story of the Phoenician queen, Jezebel. Though her name is translated, “Where is the sacred?" it has become associated with scandal as she introduced “foreign” gods and goddesses to the Hebraic society. In the contemporary world of religious plurality, would the sacred be seen in Jezebel, and by extension, in anyone deemed “different?”
