Words and Music: Larry E. Schultz
This song sings of the sacred in everyone as it invites a second look at the ancient story of the Phoenician queen, Jezebel. Though her name is translated, “Where is the sacred?" it has become associated with scandal as she introduced “foreign” gods and goddesses to the Hebraic society. In the contemporary world of religious plurality, would the sacred be seen in Jezebel, and by extension, in anyone deemed “different?”
This purchase provides permission to reproduce scores for leader and accompanist. Permissions for each congregational usage should be reported through ONE LICENSE. If sung only by choir, individual copies of the Choral Song version are purchased instead.
