This version of From Wisdom Emerging provides a “non-theistic” text for open communities. Capitalized words representing divinity in the original version (Wisdom, Love, Spirit) have been placed in lower case or removed so that persons of both faith and freethought can “converge” in peace and love. The word “faith” is maintained in stanza two in an effort to reframe its meaning, recognizing that many ideals in life that bring goodness can be worthy of faith.
